Welcome To Werdum Combat Team

Werdum Combat Team is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) academy. Created and run by former PRIDE, UFC, and current Strikeforce fighter Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum and his life-long training partner, Lucas Pires.

CT offers top tier instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, and fitness. There are also training programs for kids and teens.With some of the most decorated and recognized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners alive today, WCT has both the knowledge and experience to help any aspiring martial artist. Whether beginner or black belt, you will be welcomed by the team and your skills will be sharpened.

The WCT gym is located in Venice, CA and serves all in the West LA area, including Marina del Rey, Culver City, Santa Monica, El Segundo, and more. WCT also has affiliated gyms in more than 5 countries. Werdum Combat Team was founded to help promote a positive mental attitude while providing the most effective self-defense and martial arts instruction available today.

Fabricio defeated Mike Russow at UFC 147 with a TKO in the first round. Russow had never been knocked out before and Fabricio finished in convincing fashion in front of a jubilant Brazilian crowd.
